Integrate weather, atmosphere, or effects convincingly into a scene
Integrate invented weather, atmosphere, or effects with a scene’s lighting, perspective, color, and story.
What it is
Combine light, color, value, perspective, and story to add weather or effects to an invented scene. Fog softens contrast and shifts color. Rain catches light and obscures shapes. Glowing embers or magic light affect nearby forms.
Decide how atmosphere changes edges, saturation, reflections, and visibility. Keep characters and props in perspective, maintain a consistent light source, and preserve the scene’s value structure and color scheme.
You can check it when
- ✓Add rain, fog, smoke, or similar effects to an invented scene. Check that they follow its perspective, lighting, and color.
- ✓Review whether the effects communicate time of day, mood, danger, or focus while keeping objects, locations, and actions readable.
